If you are checking out grow lights and trying to learn about what it is that you should actually be looking for in these things, chances are that you have read about high intensity lights and the manner in which they could potentially end up making it easier for you to figure out how you can get a much higher yield than would have otherwise been possible. However, with all of that having been said and out of the way it is important to note that high intensity lights aren’t always going to be the way to go.
According to redbud soil, people with small scale growing operations often make the mistake of getting very high intensity lights because of the fact that they assume that these lights would be better. If the lights are too bright then you would notice your plants starting to get yellow outlines around their leaves after which they would dry up quite a bit. This is due to the reason that they are suffering from LED burn, which is what happens if you use a light that is too high in intensity. There are solutions to this such as moving your light a bit higher up so that there is more distance between it and your plants, but at the end of the day there is not much that you can do that would be better than just buying a light that has an intensity that suits your specific needs.
High intensity lights can be great if you are trying to get a big yield and you have a lot of square footage, but it can be difficult for you to take advantage of if it starts to burn your plants.
